The difference between healthy and unhealthy meal replacement shakes

Not all vitamins are the same.
Many meal replacement shakes contain synthetic vitamins. Or just one form of a vitamin.
For example, they add “vitamin E”.
But do you actually have good vitamin E?
There are at least 8 different forms of vitamin E: alpha-tocopherol, beta-tocopherol, gamma-tocopherol, delta-tocopherol, alpha-tocotrienol, beta-tocotrienol, gamma-tocotrienol and delta-tocotrienol.
In many meal replacement shakes only alpha-tocopherol is added. But you can then get a deficiency of the other 7 forms of vitamin E.
After all, the alpha-tocopherol can hinder the absorption of other forms of vitamin E in the gut. This is because the absorption receptors in the gut wall become saturated with alpha-tocopherol in particular, so that the other vitamin E forms are less well absorbed.
In short, many meal replacement shakes – and dietary supplements – contain only one form of vitamin E (mostly alpha-tocopherol), which is not a good thing.
And then there is another problem. They often contain the synthetic form instead of the natural form.
The synthetic form of alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) is different from the natural alpha-tocopherol:

In the synthetic form, the methane groups (CH3 groups) are differently arranged than in the natural form of vitamin E. A slightly different position of atomic groups in a molecule can cause a molecule to behave drastically differently in the body.
Several studies show that the natural version is more effective in the body than the synthetic one.

Some scientists believe that the synthetic version does not have health benefits. Others believe that the synthetic version can even cause health problems. This is because the body has proteins that have been created to work best with the natural vitamin E.
That is why we have composed BENJA in such a way that it consists entirely of natural vitamin E. All vitamin E is therefore derived from the natural ingredients in BENJA, such as seeds, vegetables and other substances.
We did not have to add vitamin E because the ingredients in themselves are healthy enough to contain lots of vitamin E.
This also means that BENJA also contains different forms of vitamin E, and not just alpha-tocopherol.
However, because BENJA is completely plant-based, we had to add certain vitamins and minerals.
After all, plant-based food does not naturally contain vitamin B12. And food generally contains very little iodine and vitamin D.
We only selected the best forms of these vitamins and minerals that the body can actually use.
For example, we add vitamin D3, because this variant works better than vitamin D2, which unfortunately is often added to food.
In short, we were guided by nature and an extensive knowledge of how the human body works to create BENJA.
